Due to certain hardware and software limitations set by manufacturers, some features in the Now Playing app may not be available. Additionally, with the wide variety of controllers and combinations on the market, it’s impossible to test every setup, but we strive to ensure compatibility across as many as possible. Below, you'll find a chart outlining the specific limitations of Now Playing for your setup.

Now Playing can display the title and artist of the song you are playing.

Now Playing can display information like record label and comments embedded in the file or from your DJ library.

Pioneer Rekordbox 7 (USB)

Incudes all-in-one systems (XDJ, OMNIS, OPUS), controllers (DDJ), and players (CDJ) connected to your computer running Rekordbox with a USB cable.

Traktor DJ 4

Includes any controllers (Kontrol X/S/F/Z) or control vinyl systems connected to your computer running Traktor with a USB cable.

Traktor DJ 2, and Traktor LE are not supported.

Virtual DJ 2025

Includes any compatible controllers or control vinyl systems connected to your computer running Virtual DJ with a USB cable.

Mixxx 2

Includes any compatible controllers or control vinyl systems connected to your computer running Mixxx with a USB cable.

Pioneer ProDJ-Link (LAN)

Includes any mixers (DJM) and players (CDJ) connected to a network switch using an ethernet cable.

Ethernet connection recommended

Now Playing will try searching for album art on the internet using the artist and title.

Denon StageLinq (LAN)

Includes any standalone (Prime/SC), players (SC5000/SC6000), controllers (LC), and mixers (X1850) connected to a network switch using an ethernet cable.

Connection over WiFi is not supported

Now Playing will try searching for album art on the internet using the artist and title.

Serato DJ Pro 3

Includes any compatible controllers or control vinyl systems connected to your computer running Serato with a USB cable.

Serator DJ Lite is not supported

DJay Pro AI (Mac)

Now Playing detects if you have Denon DJ's StageLinq connected on your network.
